LNB Round 4 (Second Stage): Reales lose to Metros in the game between Top 4 teams

The game between Top Four teams took place in La Vega. 4th ranked host Reales (10-11) lost to second ranked Metros (15-5) 82-78. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Troy Cracknell (193-1999, college: Augusta) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized American forward Jordan Geronimo (198-2001, college: Maryland) who added 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Malachi Richardson (197-1996, college: Syracuse) responded with 29 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Metros maintains second position with 15-5 record having just eleven point less than leader Indios. Reales at the other side keep the fourth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Heroes. Metros are looking forward to face Titanes (#6) in San Cristobal in the next round. Reales will play on the road against the league's leader Indios in San Francisco and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.

The winners were led by American guard BJ Fitzgerald (198-2000, college: Virginia St.) who scored that evening 20 points and 7 rebounds and Luismal Ferreiras supported him with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Even 22 points and 7 rebounds by American forward Marvin Smith (198-1995, college: UNCG) did not help to save the game for Caneros. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Indios have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-5 record. Caneros at the other side keep the third place with ten games lost. Indios will play against Reales (#4) in La Vega in the next round. Caneros will play on the road against Heroes in Moca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
